Vancouver, British Columbia on the 1954 Games
The British Empire and Commonwealth Games, which this year will be held at Vancouver, British Columbia, and visited by His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, will be officially opened on July 30. More than eight hundred athletes representing twenty-five nations will take part.
This programme, which takes you behind the scenes in Vancouver where last-minute preparations are being made, is a recording by the Special Events Department of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
