It's summer and the islands' gardens are buzzing with activity. Andrew Cooper even finds nectar-sipping birds and exotic insects among subtropical flowers. But even in June it can be a fight for survival for seabirds rearing their young on these rugged Atlantic shores. And out on the Western Rocks, graveyard for so many wrecks, the grey seals are returning once again.
