Robert Hudson Visits the Household Division

The Household Division consists of two cavalry regiments (The Life Guards and the Blues and Royals) and five regiments of footguards (Grenadiers. Coldstream. Scots, Irish and Welsh).
Besides being the personal bodyguard of the Monarch and performing ceremonial duties, such as Trooping the Colour, the Guards are active soldiers. In this programme. Robert Hudson looks behind the scenes at the many roles of modern guardsmen-their history. training, music and musicians and talks about active service in Northern Ireland and abroad. He also looks to their future.
