Hamelin and Lane

on BBC Radio 3

From the Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow.
Two accomplished pianists join forces for a recital of Romantic French and German piano music.
Marc-Andre Hamelin gives a rare performance of Dukas's sonata and is joined by Piers Lane after the interval for a Brahms sonata which may seem familiar: it is the composer's own arrangement of his piano quintet.
