A SHORT MID-WEEK SERVICE

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

Conducted by the Rev. W. H. ELUOTT Relayed from St. Michael's, Chester
. Square
The perennial popularity of this Mid-Week Service is, perhaps, largely due to the fact that Mr. Elliott has the gift of making religion very relevant to life. In his talk he takes the most ordinary difficulties and smooths them out.
Listeners will have not iced that since the summer vacation this broadcast has been put forward half an hour, and is now given at 10 o'clock instead of at 10.30. The reason for the change, as was announced at the time, was that
10.30 p.m. seemed too late for a great number of listeners.
In addition to the Mid-Week Service,
Mr. Elliott is to take the ordinary broadcast Sunday evening service on the Sunday before Christmas, December 23, at 8 o'clock.
