All Those Hard Luck Stories

on BBC One London

A four-part series 3: Family Matters
When dealing with an uncontrollable delinquent the social worker will first look to the home. But families can hinder as well as help the work.
Sandy has been on the run from his children's home for a year. His parents are determined to keep him out of care. Expecting help from Sandy's parents is a vain hope.
Sometimes the family seems united in helping the social workers help them. Darren's step-mother thinks he's hell-bent on creating trouble in the family. A series of therapy sessions for the whole family is designed to sort matters out. Will they work?
