An American meander arranged by Phil Green

One of the most brilliant and original of popular musical programmes it is a product of wartime broadcasting is Rhythm on Reeds. The creative brain behind the reeds is the well-known accordion player, Phil Green, who makes all the arrangements for this seven-piece ensemble, which specialises in sophisticated dance-tune classics.
The personnel of this remarkable combination, in addition to Phil Green, consists of Arthur Gleghorn (flute), Leon Goossens (oboe), Reginald Kell (clarinet), Victor Watson (double bass), Jack Collings (percussion), and Denis Gomm plays the piano. These are all members of the BBC Salon Orchestra.
