This real-life drama chronicles the incredible rise of a young black hoodlum from the horrors of the Detroit ghetto to national stardom. While serving a long prison sentence for armed robbery, Ron Le Flore discovers that he has a real talent for baseball and fights for that one in a million chance of fame.
LeVar Burton, who played Kunfa Kinte in Roots, stars as the poor teenager determined to escape from a life with no future.
