Jonathan Miller introduces his own acclaimed production of Mozart's comic opera from New York, with the orchestra and chorus of the Metropolitan Opera conducted by music director James Levine.
In a stylish interpretation of the masterpiece, based on the comedy by French playwright Beaumarchais, the popular Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel heads a stellar international cast as the valet who finds out that his philandering master has designs on his beloved fiancee Susanna, sung by mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli. Also starring Dwayne Croft as Count Almaviva, Renee Fleming as the Countess and Susanne Mentzer as Cherubino.
