Kirsteen McCue introduces a piano recital by the formidable Russian virtuoso Mikhail Pletnev , given in March in the Queen's Hall,
Edinburgh. He plays a programme of music by composers and their idols - Mendelssohn's Preludes and Fugues paired with those of Bach, and Grieg's miniatures juxtaposed with one of Schumann's youthful masterworks.
