Paddy Carmody and his family are
"sundowners" - folk who travel around the country working where they can and making their home wherever the sun happens to set. Paddy loves the freedom of their way of life but his wife Ida and son Sean would really prefer to settle down.
This conflict is finally resolved in an unexpected way.
