Culture Vultures

on BBC Radio 3

by ROBIN GLENDINNING
Robbie Barton is determined to bring culture to his fellow Protestants. He is producing his own adaptation of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard for a local drama group. But a simultaneous production of the same play in Dublin is more than he can resist. Off he goes in his hilarious pursuit of truth.
But will the fusion of influences prove too much for the earnest culture vulture?
