Charlie Christian
Julian Joseph introduces recordings by Charlie Christian , a pioneer of the electric guitar in jazz. Christian died aged only 25 but his contribution to jazz guitar is considerable. Highlights include his studio recordings with the Benny Goodman Sextet and a 1941 jam session with drummer Kenny Clarke live at Minton's Playhouse in New York.
