The Four Great Seasons

on BBC One London

Written and presented by David Bellamy
1: The Great Winter
The dales of northern England provide the setting for a four-part story, for which no ending can yet be written. For 5,000 years a blanket of ice covered the dales when the world was in the grip of the Great Winter. The ice scoured and created new landscapes and as it retreated the dales began a new life.
