Another chance to hear the feature first broadcast for Czeslaw Milosz 's 90th birthday last year. Mimicking the alphabetical form of his recent memoirs, the Polish-American poet provides a guide to his own life - which saw the destruction of Warsaw in the Second World War and exile in France and the USA before winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1980. With contributions from Seamus Heaney , Helen Vendler , Tomas Venclova , Adam Zagakewski and others.
