The Lowdown: Jobs for the Boys

on BBC One London

Last of six programmes.
The fast-moving story of an annual event that involves over half a million boys throughout the country, Scout Job Week.
In April this year they were raising money for their organisation by cleaning Concorde at Heathrow, others were in a gang show in Glasgow, and a few even had a trip on the maiden voyage of HMS Sheffield. So what was once called 'Bob-a-Job' week has seen some big changes along with Scouting itself. From boys in Belfast, overcoming religious differences, to refugees from Vietnam in Handsworth it goes to show it's not all 'dyb, dyb, dyb'.
