The image of the stressed-out, responsibility-laden, highly paid executive has given wayto the middle manager-less powerful at work but suffering the most stress-related illnesses, including heart attacks and high blood pressure. A great deal of this stems from the inability to stop rehearsing worst-case scenarios. The advice from stress counsellors is clear: leave work behind in the evening and at weekends, and become more protective of one's leisure time. Producer Louise Dalziel
