Michael Berkeley 's guest this week is American writer and academic
Erich Segal , known to millions all over the world for his bestselling novel Love Story, which was filmed with Ryan O'Neal and AN McGraw as the doomed lovers. Segal once collaborated with the Beatles on the screenplay of Yellow Submarine, and a Beatles song is among his musical choices, plus works by Tallis, Bach, Mozart, Chopin and Shostakovich, and a song from HMS Pinafore. Executive producer Wendy Thompson Repeated tomorrow 6.30pm
