'The Iron Major' was the nickname American soldiers in World War I gave Frank Cavanaugh , famous captain, lawyer, family man and above all football coach throughout the nation. Pat O'Brien portrays this heroic figure whose last words were 'fight for what you believe in and believe in three things - love of God ... love of country.... and love of family'.
