Omnibus presents a personal journey with Anthony Quinn
In February this year, Anthony Quinn allowed an Omnibus film crew unprecedented access to his private life. It was a crucial period for him, and a turning-point in his career. At 64, this powerful and unpredictable personality is tired of the Hollywood machine, uncertain about the roots he has put down in Italy, and itching to move on. He's more interested now in sculpture, writing - and running - than in the business of being a movie star. We follow Quinn from Rome to London and New York in search of a fresh objective. From his autobiography he re-creates ' the kid' who dogged him for years - the ghost of himself as a boy, constantly returning to question the adult man about his motives, his truths and his self-confessed lies. 'He looked at me, and I was seeing myself for the first time. What is it you want, kid, what is it you really want?'
