Brian Wright introduces Berlioz's L'Enfance du
Christ a sacred trilogy depicting Christ's childhood. The three tableaux, which set his own libretto, focus on three dramatic images of Epiphany: Herod's dream, the flight of the holy family into Egypt and their arrival at Sais and eventual acceptance by the Ishmaelites.
