An investigation of a court system set up to deal with domestic violence.

Each year in the USA, over six million women are beaten by their abusive partners and around 4,000 thousand are killed. To deal with this hidden crime, a unique and ground breaking court was established in Miami, Florida. Inside Story travels to the Domestic Violence Court where the judges are determined to break this horrific cycle of violence. The court deals with wife beaters by sending them for treatment to reform their abusive behaviour. Since the court was set up, the number of victims prepared to prosecute has more than doubled, and many women tell the judges that they have literally saved their lives.
