Early in 1947. in a cave near the Dead Sea, Bedouins discovered parchment manuscripts written in Hebrew. These have been claimed by competent authorities to belong to the second and first centuries B.c. In this talk Bleddyn Jones-Roberts assesses the importance of the discovery.
The speaker is Senior Lecturer in Biblical History and Literature at the University College of North Wales, Bangor
