Mozart Specials

on BBC One London

The first of three programmes marking the bicentenary of Mozart's death.
Mozart from Scratch
Mozart was a precocious composer and today, for the first time on British television, his earliest pieces are performed by children of about the same age as he was when he wrote them. Including his very first composition, Andante in C, written when Mozart was just 5, and played by Jean-Louis Gandon , who is not quite 5, and an extract from
Apollo and Hyacinth, the result of Mozart's first foray into opera, at the age of 12. Introduced by Carl Davis.
