on Regional Programme Scotland

View in Radio Times

Directed by LENA BLACKMAN
The Heather Sextet is nearly an all-women's combination, though actually the sixth player, the double bass, is a man. It began life as a Ladies' Quartet and developed later into a sextet. It includes several very fine musicians and has always been popular with Scottish listeners.
