Songs of Praise

on BBC One London

from Aldeburgh
This small town on the Suffolk coast has changed little over the years: its income still comes from fishing, and from visitors to an area of unspoilt natural beauty.
In tonight's programme,
Pam Rhodes talks to Bob and Doris Ling , who look after the Snape Maltings concert hall, and Julia Lang , whose catchphrase 'Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin ...' conjures up childhood memories for millions. Their choice of hymns are sung in Aldeburgh parish church.
