Ⓓ From the Point of View of a Mother
In the second of a new series of twelve talks, in which various people are to give their views on children, listeners are to hear the point of view of a mother of four boys, aged seven, five, three, and one-and-a-half years. She will talk about her dreams before the first was born, and of her realisation. They are happy and sturdy, with a hundred acres of farm to play in, even if they have to wear each other's clothes, and the new pram, 2s. 6d. second-hand, has a ' dangerous list to port'. She believes that children should be free. to play, work, and create their own magical life in the fairyland of childhood, but within certain limitations. She will give her views on discipline, training, and so forth, and speak of her ambitions for her boys.
