Simon Mayo

on BBC Radio 1 England

On the day that the Queen officially opens the Channel Tunnel, Simon presents a historic live link-up with listeners in France, as the whole of the morning show is broadcast simultaneously (in French and English) on Radio 1 in the UK and in France with Nicholas Du Roy on Europe 2. A combined
15 million people in the two countries can hear hits from both sides of the Channel, as well as a special Cross-Channel Challenge to see how much listeners know about each other's countries.
And there's live music from
British and French pop stars.
