The Belles

A profile of the determined and successful players of the Doncaster Belles, the best ladies football team in the country. Founded 25 years ago by a group of girls selling raffle tickets at Doncaster Rovers Belle Vue ground many of the current team are regular players for the women's England side. None of the women are paid for their efforts and all have full-time jobs yet they must try to find the time to fit in two games a week. This documentary shows the women's determination and commitment and follows the fortunes of the team as they enter the Cup final and depicts the tension they live with until the end of the season.
