starring Charlton Heston Maximilian Schell Belgium 1944: during the Battle of the Bulge a symphony orchestra entertaining US Forces is captured by a German panzer division under orders to shoot all prisoners. General Schiller, an avid music lover, offers to spare the orchestra if its conductor will conduct a concert for him.
