Police car pursuits of criminals on Britain's roads and motorways are undoubtedly dangerous and unpredictable. Reviewing footage of some of their most catastrophic chases, officers admit to mistakes made in the past. But in describing how new techniques and technology have helped end pursuits more safely and successfully, it is also revealed that the number of resultant deaths have fallen for the first time in six years.
