St John Passion

A rare chance to hear Bach's first great setting of the Passion story in the version he prepared for its second performance in 1725. The choir is that of St Thomas 's Church in Leipzig, and the performance was given in Westminster Abbey during the choir's historic first visit to this country for the 1994 London Bach Festival.
